About

Smoke the Dog

Smoke the Dog wants to warn hypersensitive listeners, the music is performed with real instruments

Smoke the Dog

Smoke the Dog:

Rock music of a heavier kind, with roots firmly anchored in past times, but gently spiced with the present. Neither particularly creative or innovative, more like a sausage and mash. You know what you get,   and it's always appropriate, sort of...

Smoke the Dog:

PETER:

Guitar, and occasionally background vocals, well aware that it may cause a tremendous discomfort for the listener.  Nevertheless, it happens.   Plays a Fender Stratocaster.

MICKE :

Vocals, and harmonies, at our pleasure. The voice is caught by a microphone that hangs upside down and another one that looks like a salt shaker.

PÄR :

Bass, played in a  unique manner that  creates a desirable " tractor groove". Plays a Fender or, against better judgment, a Rickenbacker, thankfully. Yes,  the previous statement is a contradiction,  but a Rickenbacker is too...

ANDERS:

Drums, played  with truckloads of energy. Hits so hard that the other band members enjoy to feel sorry for the drum heads.

NILS:

Guitar,   and you may get the impression that he hates the poor instrument. Plays with power and aggression, but  luckily that Fender guitar  proves to appreciate the rough treatment

Members of Smoke the Dog may be seen around Örebro, Sweden

But not during working hours, since they have to work

That's basically because you don't buy enough records or merchandise
